- Lyme and Tick-Borne Diseases

The CDC recently released a startling report which noted that the number of illnesses caused by ticks, mosquitos and fleas has tripled since the early 2000s. What’s worse? The report noted that the country is not yet prepared to stop the spread. With New York sitting at the epicenter of the Lyme and tick-borne (TBD) epidemic, I am working tirelessly to shine light on this critical issue.
The NYS Senate recently passed a package of bills aimed at improving awareness, combatting the spread of these diseases, and better protecting New Yorkers. (To view the full list, please click here.) In order for these bills to become law, they must first pass in the State Assembly and be signed by the Governor.
If you agree that passing these bills should be a priority before the end of the legislative session, please sign our petition today!
