Veterans Hall of Fame - Senate District 43

Dear Friend:

Our nation owes a debt of gratitude to its veterans that can never be fully repaid. America's heroes have served and sacrificed for freedom's cause, protected our cherished liberties and preserved our very way of life. We owe our veterans -- our heroes -- everything.

Each year, I have the privilege of naming an outstanding veteran from our 43rd Senate District to the New York State Senate Veterans' Hall of Fame and have done so in 2013, 2014 and 2015. The New York State Senate Veterans Hall of Fame -- located on-line at www.nysenate.gov/initiatives/honoring-our-veterans -- was launched in 2005 to help honor and recognize New York State's outstanding living veterans. This on-line tribute celebrates the heroism, bravery and dedication of the men and women of our armed forces.

In addition to naming a veteran from our 43rd Senate District to the New York State Senate Veterans' Hall of Fame, each year I hold a special public ceremony inducting area veterans to our 43rd Senate District Veterans' Hall of Fame. Much like the New York State Senate Veterans' Hall of Fame, my Veterans Hall of Fame for the 43rd Senate District proudly showcases the service and sacrifice of local veterans who made a positive difference to their nation, state and communities. I am proud to launch this new on-line site that celebrates and salutes our local inductees. Each year, new honorees will join this on-line hall of heroes and have their bravery recognized.
