Richard R. Scheiner

Richard R. Scheiner served in the United States Navy. He retired at the rank of Construction Mechanic 1st Class.
Mr. Scheiner is a decorated Navy veteran who proudly served our Nation as a member of the renowned Naval Seabees from July 1979 to December 1994.
Awarded numerous honors for his 15 years of service and valor, Mr. Scheiner’s recognitions include three Southwest Asia Service Medals, Kuwait Liberation Medal, two Navy Achievement Medals, Humanitarian Service Medal, three Good Conduct Medals, and the Navy Expedition Medal. Mr. Scheiner also earned two Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbons, three Sea Service Deployment Ribbons and various campaign, service, and unit awards.
Along with his uniformed service, Mr. Scheiner is a dedicated community member, serving in leadership roles with several local organizations. He is past Master of Schenevus Valley Masonic Lodge 592 and past Grand Director of Ceremonies for the New York State Grandlodge.
Mr. Scheiner is a devout member of the Schenevus Episcopal Church, where he has served as Treasurer, Senior Acolyte, and Lay Leader.
Additionally, Mr. Scheiner has held leadership positions with both the Order of the Eastern Star and Rebekah Lodge, devoting much of his time and energy to helping those in need through a multitude of public service endeavors.
A resident of Worcester (Otsego County), Mr. Scheiner has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to his country, his fellow service members, and his community. His selfless contributions, both in and out of uniform, are well-deserving of our eternal respect and admiration.
