Stephen C. Biscotti

Stephen C. Biscotti served in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman from 1979 to 1983, followed by Active Reserve Duty from 1983 to 1985.
Mr. Biscotti is the embodiment of unselfish service to his country, his faith, and his fellow man.
He served for 21 years in the New York Police Department, retiring as Detective from the Counter-Terrorism Division.
Since 2006, Mr. Biscotti has worked in healthcare and was appointed Director of Security at Mount Sinai South Nassau (MSSN) in November 2016.
Mr. Biscotti was instrumental in starting the Mount Sinai South Nassau Veterans Committee in 2019, which includes members from all hospital departments. Under his leadership, the Mount Sinai South Nassau Veterans Committee holds a greatly expanded hospital Veterans Day event to honor and recognize not only the employees who are veterans, but all veterans of the United States.
A tireless and proactive champion for veterans, Mr. Biscotti has initiated and supported numerous programs in support of veterans, including the placement of a military chest for collecting food at the hospital. Since its inception, over 4,000 pounds of non-perishable food have been collected for the Nassau County Veterans Agency.
Steadfast in his pursuit to help veterans, Mr. Biscotti also assisted with the “Suits on Soldiers” drive to collect professional clothing for veterans to use in job interviews and the “Coats on Soldiers” drive to provide warm clothing for veterans and their families. He was also at the forefront in the establishment of a Veterans Committee Scholarship Fund for MSSN veterans to further their professional education.
Mr. Biscotti was the recipient of the Nassau County “Distinguished Service to Veterans Award” in 2021 and was recognized with a Citation of Commendation by the Nassau County Executive.
Mr. Biscotti’s courage, bravery, and dedication to protecting our freedom and giving back to others is truly remarkable. His commitment to our Nation and selflessness are an inspiration to us all.
