Ryan Su
Honoree Profile
Ryan Su served in the United States Army from 2012 to 2015. He achieved the rank of E-4 Specialist.
During his time in the Army, he amassed a variety of experience as an Infantryman, Intelligence Analyst, and Anti-Armor Specialist. His service, although cut short by a medically honorable discharge following a training accident, was marked by his sincere commitment and recognition by the Army.
Mr. Su was awarded the Army Achievement Medal, the American Defense Service Medal (2013), the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal (2012), and the Army Service Ribbon. In 2023, he was honored with the Presidential Volunteer Service Award, a testament to his ongoing commitment to community service.
Before his military career, Mr. Su was actively involved with the New York Police Department’s Auxiliary Volunteer Program from 2004 to 2011. This period was instrumental in shaping his commitment to public service and community safety.
Following Mr. Su’s military service, he served briefly in the Department of Homeland Security within Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), before deciding to prioritize his family’s needs and returning to New York.
Today, Mr. Su’s mission continues as he strives to leverage his experience in the military and law enforcement to educate and assist his New York community, using social media as a platform.
Mr. Su’s path has been one of dedication to service, in uniform and beyond, and he is committed to making a positive impact wherever possible.
