On Thursday September 4th at 6pm, Senator Cordell Cleare and the Friends of Malcolm X Plaza are partnering with Lincoln Center for a special free screening of San Juan Hill." This documentary created by Stanley Nelson tells the story of San Juan Hill the neighborhoods torn down in an age of urban renewal to build Lincoln Center. We will be screening the film and discussing the similarities between the jazz artistry and neighborhoods of San Juan Hill and Harlem. Please join us on September 4th, for a panel discussion and screening of this historical and timely film.
