PROPERTY TAX EXEMPTION WORKSHOP IN BALDWIN - FRIDAY, JULY 26, 2013

On Friday, July 26th, I will be sponsoring a Property Tax Exemption Workshop in partnership with Senator Charles Fuschillo and Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano from 1 pm to 3 pm at the Baldwin Public Library, located at 2385 Grand Avenue in Baldwin.

Exemption specialists from the Nassau County Department of Assessment will be equipped with computers linked to the county’s database, and property tax exemption applications for Basic STAR, Enhanced STAR, senior citizens, individuals with disabilities, veterans, volunteer firefighters and emergency medical technicians will be processed. County staffers will also provide assistance and answer any questions residents have about these exemptions. 

Homeowners who will be filing for an exemption should bring copies of any documentation that is required for the property tax exemption, including proof of age, proof of residency and proof of income.
