Free Memory Screening Program in Franklin Square
Senator Elaine Phillips and the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA) will be sponsoring a free memory screening program on Monday, November 13 from 10 am to 12 pm at the Franklin Square Library (19 Lincoln Rd, Franklin Square).
Screenings consist of a series of questions to gauge memory, language and thinking skills. The memory screening takes approximately 10 minutes and is confidential. Participants will be provided with the results on-site. Results are not a diagnosis, but a memory screening can suggest if someone should see a physician for a full evaluation.
The program is free of charge and open to all residents of Senator Phillips’ Senate district, however, appointments are required and will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis.
Residents wishing to get a free memory screening on November 13 can schedule an appointment by calling Senator Phillips’ office at 516-746-5924.
