This document honors several veterans being inducted into the New York State Veterans' Hall of Fame, including John Rowan and Willis W. Smith. John Rowan is a Sergeant who served in the Vietnam War as an Air Force linguist and has since served as National President of Vietnam Veterans of America for seven terms. Willis W. Smith served 22 years in the Army Reserves and National Guard, including deployments to Afghanistan and Ground Zero on 9/11, and also served his community as Deposit Village Trustee and Mayor. The ceremony will feature speakers honoring their service and accomplishments.
