Narcan Training in collaboration with NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports

Join Senator Nathalia Fernández and the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) for a free Narcan Training. Learn how to recognize and respond to opioid overdoses, understand harm reduction and prevention strategies, and debunk common myths and stigma surrounding addiction.

Training includes:

  • Recognizing and responding to overdoses
  • The science behind substance use and addiction
  • Understanding harm reduction and overdose prevention
  • How opiates work and overdose risk factors

Participants will receive:

  • Two doses of Narcan (naloxone)
  • Fentanyl and xylazine test strips
  • A first aid kit with a CPR face shield and Deterra drug disposal bag

Additional information on accessing more supplies will also be provided.
