New York State Senator Reverend Ruben Diaz (D-Bronx) together with the Hispanic Federation will provide laptops to students at the High School for Visual Arts located at 2040 Mercy College Place on Friday, June 5, 2009 at 12:00 PM.
“I am delighted to provide some of the necessary tools that our Bronx students from the High School for Visual Arts require for their education to motivate then to do research and explore all there is to learn,” stated Senator Reverend Diaz. “I am going to ask the students who will receive these laptops to take a pledge that they will do their very best to graduate from high school with honors and to get a college degree.”
This contribution is one of many efforts by Senator Reverend Diaz to improve the academic performance of students who attend public schools in his Senatorial District.
