Joint Legislative Public Hearing on 2019-2020 Executive Budget Proposal: Topic Economic Development

Senate Finance Committee Chair Liz Krueger and Assembly Ways and Means Committee Chair Helene E. Weinstein will hold the 12th in a series of 13 hearings on the 2019-20 Executive Budget on Tuesday, February 12th, at 9:30 a.m. in Hearing Room B of the Legislative Office Building, Albany.
During the Economic Development Hearing, government officials and representatives of various economic development advocacy groups will provide testimony to the Senate and Assembly fiscal committees.
These joint hearings will continue through February 12th and will be available for viewing on the Senate and Assembly websites. The Legislative Channel (on cable systems throughout the state) also will carry the proceedings, which will be preempted when the houses are in session. At the conclusion of the legislative deliberations, the channel will resume televised coverage of the hearings.
Scheduled to provide testimony are New York State Department of Economic Development Empire State Development Commissioner, President and CEO Howard Zemsky and New York State Office of General Services Commissioner RoAnn M. Destito.
Testimony also will be provided by representatives of the Manufacturers Association of Central New York: President and CEO Randy Wolken and CPA/Partner of the Bonadio Group Paul Henry.
Others providing testimony include New York State Economic Development Council Executive Director Ryan Silva, New York Association of Training and Employment Professionals Director Melinda Mack, and New York State Land Bank Association Executive Director Adam Zaranko.
