Kenya Lamonte Smith

Kenya Lamonte Smith served in the United States Air Force and the Reserve. He was an Aerospace Security Specialist.

Mr. Smith was deployed and participated in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, charged with leading a 44-man team. His military service took him around the world, and he later transitioned to the Reserve, receiving an honorable discharge.

John Cooper, Jr.

John Cooper, Jr. served in the United States Army and achieved the rank of Sergeant.

Mr. Cooper served six years in the Army as a Sniper, from 2015 to 2021, with the 25th Infantry Division, 3rd Brigade, Reconnaissance Commandos (Recondo) and 10th Mountain Division, 1st Brigade, 2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment. He served one tour of combat duty in Afghanistan as a Sniper Section Leader.

Richard Bingham

Richard Bingham served in the United States Army and the Army Reserve and achieved the rank of First Sergeant.

Mr. Bingham’s unwavering dedication to his country began on April 23, 1968, when he answered the call to serve and was drafted into the Army. Deployed to Vietnam as a Motorpool Sergeant with the 1st Aviation Brigade, he spent a year and a half in the heart of the conflict before returning home in December 1969. Even after completing his military obligation in 1974, his commitment to service never wavered.

Neil D. Thomas

Neil D. Thomas served in the United States Marine Corps from September 1994 to September 2002 and retired at the rank of Sergeant.

Mr. Thomas was assigned to the 2nd Platoon, Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable), also known as the "USMC Raiders." As Corporal, his excellence in Company B prompted him to fill additional key billets within his unit, which included Squad Leader, Assistant Chief Scout Swimmer, and Forward Air Controller.

Scott M. Ward

Scott M. Ward served in the United States Army and achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

A native of Steuben County, New York, Mr. Ward was commissioned through the ROTC program at Cornell University in 1988. He served as an Infantry Platoon Leader, Light Armored Cavalry Troop Commander, Infantry Brigade Liaison Officer, Basic Combat Training Company Commander, and Battalion/Brigade Operations Officer.

Anthony Rabasco

Anthony Rabasco served in the United States Army during the Korean War and achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant.

Mr. Rabasco was born in January 1928, and shortly thereafter, our Nation sank into the Great Depression. His father, an immigrant from Italy, struggled to make ends meet, so at a young age, Mr. Rabasco went to work. Whether it was shining shoes, carrying blocks of ice up four-story walk-ups, or restocking sodas, he worked to help his family make ends meet.

Kevin Swab

Kevin Swab served in the United States Army and in the Army National Guard. He achieved the rank of Major.

Serving for 24 years in the Armed Forces, Mr. Swab began his career in 1987 as a Rifle Platoon Leader before leaving for active service and deployment to Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm in 1990.

Michael Kilano

Michael Kilano served in the United States Marine Corps from 1999 to 2003.

Born and raised in Queens, Mr. Kilano is a dedicated veteran advocate and crisis coordinator who has transformed his personal struggles into a mission to help and support others. Shortly after the attacks of September 11, 2001, he was deployed to the Middle East, participating in Operation Enduring Freedom.
