LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Power & Composite Technologies, Inc.
upon the occasion of receiving the Edward L. Wilkinson Industry of the
Year Award from the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, The State of New York takes great pride in acknowledging the
outstanding achievements of its esteemed businesses; and
WHEREAS, Power & Composite Technologies, Inc. (PCT), in Amsterdam,
will be honored by the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce with its
prestigious Edward L. Wilkinson Industry of the Year Award during an
annual meeting and awards dinner to be held at River Stone Manor on
January 30, 2009; and
WHEREAS, This award pays tribute to a business or industry that has
made a positive contribution to the economic growth and well-being of
Montgomery County; and
WHEREAS, PCT was founded as Advanced Generator Technologies, Inc. in
1994 by Larry Jordan and Jerry Meehan; and
WHEREAS, The industry specializes in the design and manufacture of
high quality components for large industrial power generation equipment;
and
WHEREAS, PCT began with a focus on only one customer, General Elec-
tric's power systems division, and today, has operations throughout the
United States and in China; and
WHEREAS, PCT has extensive experience manufacturing slot armor, slit-
ting mica tape, retaining rings, collector assemblies, cap baffles,
rotor wedges, end winding support systems and many more products; and
WHEREAS, PCT has exhibited the true spirit of this award through its
valuable contributions to the community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Power & Composite Technologies, Inc. upon the occasion of receiv-
ing the Edward L. Wilkinson Industry of the Year Award from the Montgom-
ery County Chamber of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Power & Composite Technologies, Inc.
