LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Kenny Rodgers upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the 2008 Steuben County EMS Achievement
Award by Steuben County Emergency Services

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Kenny Rodgers
upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the 2008 Steuben
County EMS Achievement Award by Steuben County Emergency Services to be
celebrated at its Awards Banquet on Saturday, April 4, 2009, at the
Hammondsport Fire Station; and
WHEREAS, Kenny Rodgers, a member of the Troupsburg Volunteer Ambulance
Corps, is being commended for his outstanding commitment and dedication
to emergency medical services within his community and Steuben County;
and
WHEREAS, On many occasions, Kenny Rodgers has acted with bravery and
steady precision in dealing with the risk and drama of emergency situ-
ations; and
WHEREAS, In the performance of his duties, Kenny Rodgers has demon-
strated his character and his compassion for the welfare of others and
has proven to be a tremendous asset to his community; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body cannot express sufficient gratitude to
those devoted individuals who recognize that the preservation of life is
a sacred responsibility and who make that responsibility their own by
serving as volunteers; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that we should give
special recognition to those who work so assiduously for the betterment
of their communities, and acknowledge publicly the heroic good works
performed by the volunteer departments of this great Empire State, their
officers and auxiliaries; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Kenny Rodgers upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the 2008 Steuben County EMS Achievement Award by Steuben County Emergen-
cy Services; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Kenny Rodgers.
