LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Todd and Robyn Herbst upon the occa-
sion of their designation for special recognition by United Hospice of
Rockland on May 31, 2009

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to take note of and
publicly acknowledge individuals who have distinguished themselves
through their exemplary careers, accomplishments, and purposeful lives
of service to their community; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Todd and Robyn Herbst upon the occasion of their designation for special
recognition by United Hospice of Rockland at its Spring Ball on Sunday,
May 31, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Todd and Robyn Herbst have continually demonstrated extreme
competence, extraordinary intelligence and diligent leadership in their
unwavering service to United Hospice of Rockland and the community; and
WHEREAS, Loyal supporters of United Hospice of Rockland, Todd and
Robyn Herbst have continuously dedicated themselves to helping this
illustrious organization achieve its mission; and
WHEREAS, Robyn Herbst spearheaded United Hospice of Rockland's pet
therapy program with her dog, Piper; she also worked with the "Healing
Hearts," a children's bereavement program and volunteers weekly at the
front desk of the Hospice office; and
WHEREAS, Todd Herbst has been called upon to contribute his time and
legal expertise to countless endeavors on behalf of United Hospice of
Rockland and has always given of himself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Todd and Robyn Herbst are pillars of the community who serve
as an inspiration to their fellow citizens; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by individuals
for the benefit of others which Todd and Robyn Herbst have displayed
throughout their lives; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, it is appropriate to publicly proclaim and commend those individ-
uals for the edification and emulation of others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Todd and Robyn Herbst upon the occasion of their designation for
special recognition by United Hospice of Rockland; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Todd and Robyn Herbst.
