LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Dynegy Northeast Generation Inc. upon
the occasion of receiving the Humanitarian Award from the Ulster-Greene
ARC at its 28th Annual Humanitarian Awards Dinner on May 1, 2009

WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to take note of and
publicly acknowledge individuals of remarkable integrity and character
who have inspired and brought pride to our majestic Empire State with
their strong contributions to the community and model citizenship; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Dynegy Northeast Generation Inc. upon the occasion of receiving the
Humanitarian Award from the Ulster-Greene ARC at its 28th Annual Humani-
tarian Awards Dinner on May 1, 2009; and
WHEREAS, The Senior Director of Project Engineering at Dynegy North-
east Generation Inc., Michael Ascenzi has served as a dedicated and hard
working member of the Ulster-Greene ARC Board for almost a decade; and
WHEREAS, Over the past few years, Michael Ascenzi has helped organize
the Taste of Catskill in Greene County event and served as chair of the
Trivia Event, which has raised significant money for the organization
over the last nine years; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Michael Ascenzi was instrumental in helping the
Ulster-Greene ARC receive a grant from Dynegy Northeast Generation Inc.
for the Brookside School to replace books in its library; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when businesses
of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our attention,
they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of the
great State of New York; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is pleased to have this opportunity to
express its highest admiration for Dynegy Northeast Generation Inc.,
fully confident that it will continue to enjoy the sparkling success
which has so characterized its past; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Dynegy Northeast Generation Inc. upon the occasion of receiving
the Humanitarian Award from the Ulster-Greene ARC at its 28th Annual
Humanitarian Awards Dinner on May 1, 2009; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Dynegy Northeast Generation Inc.
