LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Tom and Jane Struzzieri and their family
upon the occasion of receiving the Heart of Gold Award from the Ulster-
Greene ARC at its 28th Annual Humanitarian Awards Dinner on May 1, 2009

WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to take note of and
publicly acknowledge individuals of remarkable integrity and character
who have inspired and brought pride to our majestic Empire State with
their strong contributions to the community and model citizenship; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Tom
and Jane Struzzieri and their family upon the occasion of receiving the
Heart of Gold Award from the Ulster-Greene ARC at its 28th Annual Huma-
nitarian Awards Dinner on May 1, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Tom and Jane Struzzieri and their family have given not only
of their time and energies but also of their competence, intelligence
and leadership and consequently has been designated for this special
honor; and
WHEREAS, Each year, Tom and Jane Struzzieri and their family and
friends come together for a holiday party where they also pick out shop-
ping lists for people in need, provided by the United Way's cadre of
human service agencies, one of which is the Ulster-Greene ARC; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is pleased to have this opportunity to
express its highest admiration for Tom and Jane Struzzieri and their
family and to wish them continued success in all of their future endeav-
ors; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Tom and Jane Struzzieri and their family upon the occasion of
receiving the Heart of Gold Award from the Ulster-Greene ARC at its 28th
Annual Humanitarian Awards Dinner on May 1, 2009; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Tom and Jane Struzzieri.
