LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Ann M. Blask upon the occasion of
her designation as recipient of the Businessperson of the Year Award by
the Herkimer County Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those individuals who substantially contribute to the
economic vitality of their communities and the entire Empire State; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to congratulate Ann M.
Blask upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the Busines-
sperson of the Year Award by the Herkimer County Chamber of Commerce on
Thursday, April 30, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Active in the real estate business for 29 years, Ann Blask is
the licensed real estate broker/owner of A.M. Blask Realty which has
been in existence since 1992; she currently has four agents working for
her; and
WHEREAS, A graduate of St. Mary's in Little Falls, New York, Ann Blask
earned her Associate's degree in Business Administration from Herkimer
County Community College; she also attended SUNY Utica; and
WHEREAS, Ann Blask is a member and past director of the Greater
Utica-Rome Board of Realtors and MLS; she is also associated with the
National and State Association of Realtors and the New York State
Commercial Association of Realtors; and
WHEREAS, Active in her community, Ann Blask is a member and past pres-
ident of both the Little Falls Rotary Club and the Little Falls Civic
Club; in addition, she is affiliated with the Little Falls Hospital
Guild, and the Little Falls Historical Society; and
WHEREAS, A member of the Holy Family Parish and Rosary Society, Ann
Blask is a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow Award recipient and
also earned a Little Falls WCA Women of Distinction Award; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout have been her children, Kyle and Karla,
and her grandchildren, Kathryn, Kourtney, Kaidan, Mitchell, Max, and
Mason, all of whom feel privileged to be a part of her life and rejoice
in her achievements; and
WHEREAS, With her proven business leadership abilities and her evident
dedication to her community, Ann Blask is the quintessential selection
for the prestigious "Businessperson of the Year" Award; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Ann M. Blask upon the occasion of her designation as recip-
ient of the Businessperson of the Year Award by the Herkimer County
Chamber of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Ann M. Blask.
