LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Chet Szarejko of Little Neck, New
York, upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition as
recipient of the Member Cross of the Order of Merit by the President of
the Republic of Poland

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge
outstanding individuals whose professional lives, personal endeavors and
community service are an example and inspiration to their colleagues,
friends, and family; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Chet Szarejko of Little Neck, New York, upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition as recipient of the Member Cross of
the Order of Merit by the President of the Republic of Poland; this
auspicious occasion will be celebrated at a ceremony to be held at the
Office of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York
City on Sunday, May 3, 2009; and
WHEREAS, The President of Poland has awarded Chet Szarejko of Little
Neck, New York, the prestigious Member Cross of the Order of Merit of
the Republic of Poland; and
WHEREAS, The award of the Member Cross of the Order of Merit of the
Republic of Poland will be presented to Chet Szarejko of Little Neck,
New York, at a ceremony of decoration at the Office of the Consulate
General of Poland in New York City during Polish Constitution Day on
Sunday, May 3, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his professional and communi-
ty service, a period of constructive involvement, Chet Szarejko has
stood constant in dignity, good grace and humor, and has earned the
respect and admiration of his colleagues, family and friends; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is pleased to have this opportunity to
express its highest admiration for Chet Szarejko of Little Neck, New
York, and to wish him continued success in all of his future endeavors;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Chet Szarejko upon the occasion of his designation for
special recognition as recipient of the Member Cross of the Order of
Merit by the President of the Republic of Poland; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Chet Szarejko, 252-36 63rd Avenue, Little Neck, New York
