LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Dr. Jeffrey Rockmore upon the occasion
of receiving the Extra Mile Award from To Life! at its 11th Annual Gala
on May 5, 2009

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Dr.
Jeffrey Rockmore upon the occasion of receiving the Extra Mile Award
from To Life! at its 11th Annual Gala on May 5, 2009; and
WHEREAS, A native of the Capital Region and an alumnus of Union
College, Dr. Jeffrey Rockmore graduated from Albany Medical College and
performed his residency at Albany Medical Center; and
WHEREAS, One of the seven board-certified plastic surgeons at The
Plastic Surgery Group in Albany, Dr. Jeffrey Rockmore holds certif-
ications from the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of
Plastic Surgery; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Dr. Jeffrey Rockmore is a member of the American
Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Plas-
tic Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the
Medical Society of the State of New York, the Northeast Society of Plas-
tic Surgeons and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery;
and
WHEREAS, Founded in 1998, To Life! is a non-profit organization
providing free-of-charge breast cancer education and support services in
a 10-county region, including and surrounding Albany County; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is pleased to have this opportunity to
express its highest admiration for Dr. Jeffrey Rockmore and to wish him
continued success in all of his future endeavors; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Dr. Jeffrey Rockmore upon the occasion of receiving the Extra Mile
Award from To Life! at its 11th Annual Gala on May 5, 2009; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Dr. Jeffrey Rockmore.
