LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Perinton Nursery School upon the occa-
sion of its 50th Anniversary

WHEREAS, New York State's commitment to education is unparalleled; its
history and stature are secured by the superlative caliber of its educa-
tional professionals and the students they inspire; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those schools of commitment and high achievement whose purpose
and endeavors have been dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in the
education of the youth of this noble Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Perinton Nursery School upon the occasion of its 50th Anniversary; and
WHEREAS, A cooperative preschool where children are encouraged to
develop at their own rate, physically, emotionally, socially, intellec-
tually and aesthetically, Perinton Nursery School encourages teachers
and families to work together to create strong, mutual goals for both
home and school; and
WHEREAS, Perinton Nursery School was founded in 1959 by a group of
women, possibly looking to reconnect families after moving from the city
to the suburbs; it was originally located in the Village of Fairport,
moving in the 1970s to Mountain Rise United Church of Christ; and
WHEREAS, An integral part of the history of its community, Perinton
Nursery School represents a dynamic, responsive and positive force with-
in the educational system of New York State; and
WHEREAS, It is only fitting that this Legislative Body extend its
highest commendation to the administration, teachers, staff and parents,
both past and present, of Perinton Nursery School for their dedication
and commitment to the children, school and community in the creation of
a better world for the children of tomorrow; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Perinton Nursery School upon the occasion of its 50th Anniversary,
fully confident that it will continue to enjoy the sparkling success
which has so characterized its past; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Perinton Nursery School.
