LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending the International Pentecostal City
Mission, Inc. of Brooklyn upon the occasion of its Women's Day Cele-
bration

WHEREAS, The character and richness of spiritual and community life in
this noble Empire State is nourished and fulfilled through the faithful
concern and selfless devotion of those who would commit their energies
and purpose to the ministry of others; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
the International Pentecostal City Mission, Inc. of Brooklyn upon the
occasion of its Women's Day Celebration on Sunday, May 17, 2009; and
WHEREAS, The theme for this year's event is "The Shunammite Woman: A
model of Christian Hospitality"; and
WHEREAS, Pentecostal City Mission is a community of believers that
will effectively communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ to all people
holistically, irrespective of race, color, gender, and economic status;
and
WHEREAS, Upon conversion, these individuals will develop in the faith
and knowledge of Jesus Christ; they will also grow with progressive,
educational and evangelistic outreach ministries tailored to embrace
diversity and building the kingdom of God within all societies; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to take note of
enduring spiritual institutions and to bring such institutions to the
attention of the people of this Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the International Pentecostal City Mission, Inc. of Brooklyn
upon the occasion of its Women's Day Celebration; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the International Pentecostal City Mission, Inc. of Brooklyn.
