LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Dan Kwarta upon the occasion of his
retirement as Mayor of the Village of Bloomfield, New York, after 19
years of distinguished service

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and honor
those distinguished citizens of this great Empire State who have devoted
themselves to faithfully serving the best interests of their community
and the needs of its residents; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Dan
Kwarta upon the occasion of his retirement as Mayor of the Village of
Bloomfield, New York, after 19 years of distinguished service; and
WHEREAS, Dan Kwarta had previously served as the Mayor of East Bloom-
field for five years and was responsible for merging the former villages
of Holcomb and East Bloomfield into the only village in East Bloomfield;
and
WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Dan Kwarta served the citizens of
Bloomfield, New York, with intelligence and caring dedication, contin-
uously striving to effectively fulfill the duties of his position; and
WHEREAS, Sincerely loved and greatly respected by all those with whom
he worked, Dan Kwarta will be remembered for his honesty, integrity,
keen sense of duty and ability to show a unique grasp of human problems
in his official acts; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is pleased to have this opportunity to
express its highest admiration for Dan Kwarta and to wish him continued
success in all of his future endeavors; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Dan Kwarta upon the occasion of his retirement as Mayor of the
Village of Bloomfield, New York, after 19 years of distinguished
service; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Dan Kwarta.
