LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Kay and Ray Robinson for 21 years of
dedicated service to the Northern Livingston Chapter of the American Red
Cross

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to call attention to
those esteemed residents of the State of New York who dedicate their
lives to the improvement of their communities; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Kay
and Ray Robinson for 21 years of dedicated service to the Northern
Livingston Chapter of the American Red Cross; and
WHEREAS, Throughout their 45-year marriage, Kay and Ray Robinson have
been committed to volunteer community service; being 21-year members of
the Northern Livingston Chapter of the American Red Cross, they serve on
the board and volunteer for bloodmobile drives; and
WHEREAS, Ray Robinson was instrumental in establishing the first Red
Cross Motor Corp. to assist residents in need with transportation to
non-emergency medical services; Ray and Kay have provided 5,000 rides to
non-emergency medical appointments for those in need; they continue
their roles as volunteer recruiters and coordinators for this vital
community service; and
WHEREAS, Ray Robinson volunteers as a coordinator for the VFW Christ-
mas Tree and Poppy Sales; Kay Robinson serves as a Saturday night
hospice volunteer at Theresa House, and they both are active with commu-
nity food basket distributions and social ministries in their church;
and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that individuals who
exemplify a spirit of humanity should be celebrated for their noble
efforts on behalf of others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Kay and Ray Robinson for 21 years of dedicated service to the
Northern Livingston Chapter of the American Red Cross; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Kay and Ray Robinson.
