LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring the members of the Chaotic 5 upon the
occasion of capturing the Most Educational Toy Award at the 2009 Sally
Ride Science TOYchallenge

WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to commend and pay
tribute to those young people who have inspired and brought pride to
their community by achieving outstanding success in competition; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor the
members of the Chaotic 5 upon the occasion of capturing the Most Educa-
tional Toy Award at the 2009 Sally Ride Science TOYchallenge; and
WHEREAS, The only team nominated to represent the State of New York in
the 2009 Sally Ride Science TOYchallenge, the members of the Chaotic 5
are all from the 622 class of M.S. 67Q; and
WHEREAS, Coached by Nest Wu and Wen-shan Shin, the members of the
Chaotic 5 were: Lydia Wu, Kevin Kan, Genji Noguchi, Terrence Koo, Eliza-
beth Yim and Mia Sudano; and
WHEREAS, Sponsored by the Sally Ride Science Foundation, TOYchallenge
is a national fun-fueled toy-and-game design competition that gives kids
an opportunity to step out of the classroom and develop their engineer-
ing and design skills by creating their dream toy; and
WHEREAS, Poised eagerly with enthusiasm and determined purpose, the
members of the Chaotic 5 now stand honorably, with just pride in their
accomplishments and in eager anticipation of future challenges, under-
standing and appreciating the caring counsel and support provided by
their teachers, coaches and parents; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge
outstanding young people who distinguish themselves through their excep-
tional performance and stand as a sterling example and inspiration to
all who would aspire to success; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor the members of the Chaotic 5 upon the occasion of capturing the
Most Educational Toy Award at the 2009 Sally Ride Science TOYchallenge
and offer them its best wishes for a future of purposeful success and
well-being; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the members of the Chaotic 5.
