LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating the Goshen High School Mock Trial
Team upon the occasion of capturing the Orange County Tournament Champi-
onship

WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to commend and pay
tribute to those young people who have inspired and brought pride to our
majestic Empire State by achieving outstanding success in educational
competition; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late the Goshen High School Mock Trial Team upon the occasion of captur-
ing the Orange County Tournament Championship; and
WHEREAS, After capturing the Orange County Tournament Championship,
the Goshen High School Mock Trial Team made it to the third and final
round of the New York State Mock Trial Region IV Tournament; and
WHEREAS, Educational competitions which serve to better prepare our
students for their future are worthy of praise and support; the Orange
County Mock Trial program, which allows high school students to play the
parts of lawyers in local courtrooms, is sponsored by the Orange-Ulster
BOCES and the Orange County Bar Association; and
WHEREAS, Coached by Robert Karchawer, as well as Attorney Coaches Mark
Stern and Mary Ellen Albanese, the members of the Goshen High School
Mock Trial Team were: Ryan Anderson, Jason Basri, Parth Baxi, Christina
Berti, Sarah Camposeo, Molly Colgan, Karolyn Davies, Katherine Dermigny,
Jessica England, Sean Griffin, Peter Iannuzzi, Ryan Leone, Kaitlin
Lippert, Justin Lowe, Chris Lu, Lauren Marsiglio, Kris Marvin, Yariel
Melo, Dan Mutone, Shaun O'Brien, Chris O'Connor, Joe Sullivan, Joe Toma-
pat, Michael Wares, Yale Weiss, Kelsey Yates and Alex Zappier; and
WHEREAS, Poised eagerly with enthusiasm and determined purpose, these
scholars now stand honorably, with just pride in their accomplishments
and in eager anticipation of future challenges, understanding and appre-
ciating the caring counsel and support provided by their teachers, fami-
ly and friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the Goshen High School Mock Trial Team upon the occasion of
capturing the Orange County Tournament Championship, and offer them its
best wishes for a future of purposeful success and well-being; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Goshen High School Mock Trial Team.
