LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Inspire and the Orange County Chamber
of Commerce upon the occasion of hosting its Business Mixer and Summer
Reception

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Inspire and the Orange County Chamber of Commerce upon the occasion of
hosting its Business Mixer and Summer Reception, to be celebrated on
Thursday, July 30, 2009, in Newburgh, New York; and
WHEREAS, This particular event will feature networking opportunities
and a glimpse of Inspire's work and achievements; this year's reception
is the official beginning of Inspire's 60th Anniversary; and
WHEREAS, Inspire is a non-profit charitable organization, officially
known as the Orange County Cerebral Palsy Association, Inc.; Inspire
specializes in early childhood development and outpatient diagnostic
services for people of all ages; and
WHEREAS, Inspire Kids is a special education preschool for children
ages two and a half through five years of age with developmental delays;
Inspire also provides Medicaid service coordination, respite, and social
programs, to name a few; and
WHEREAS, The Orange County Chamber of Commerce leads the way creating
and supporting an environment in which business will succeed and the
quality of life is enhanced; with more than 2,000 members, the Chamber
is the largest business and professional organization in the Mid-Hudson
region and one of the 10 largest in New York State; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Inspire and the Orange County Chamber of Commerce upon the occa-
sion of hosting its Business Mixer and Summer Reception; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Inspire and the Orange County Chamber of Commerce.
