LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Cathy Baldwin upon the occasion of her
retirement as Assistant Director of Meal Delivery of Meals on Wheels of
Western New York after 22 years of distinguished service

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and honor
those distinguished citizens of this great Empire State who have devoted
themselves to faithfully serving the best interests of their community
and the needs of its residents; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Cathy Baldwin
upon the occasion of her retirement as Assistant Director of Meal Deliv-
ery of Meals on Wheels of Western New York after 22 years of distin-
guished service, to be celebrated on Wednesday, February 18, 2009, at
the Cheektowaga Senior Center; and
WHEREAS, Cathy Baldwin's official last working day is on Friday,
February 27, 2009; she started at Meals on Wheels on February 10, 1987;
she originally began as the Assistant to the Assistant Director of Meal
Delivery; and
WHEREAS, Cathy Baldwin has been responsible for supervising the senior
aides; she has a close relationship with volunteers and assists with
training, orientation and the supervision of volunteers; in addition,
she works closely with the site managers to ensure that the facilities
are operating efficiently; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Cathy Baldwin has served with intelli-
gence and caring dedication, continuously striving to effectively
fulfill the duties of her position; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout have been her children, Alan, Michelle,
and Michael, as well as her three grandchildren, all of whom feel privi-
leged to be a part of her life and rejoice in her achievements; and
WHEREAS, Sincerely loved and greatly respected by all those with whom
she worked, Cathy Baldwin will be remembered for her honesty, integrity,
keen sense of duty and ability to show a unique grasp of human problems
in her official acts; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Cathy Baldwin upon the occasion of her retirement as Assistant
Director of Meal Delivery of Meals on Wheels of Western New York after
22 years of distinguished service; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Cathy Baldwin.
