LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Lee Bush upon the occasion of
winning first place in the New York Association for Pupil Transportation
Bus Safety Poster Contest for Division III for the third consecutive
year

WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to commend and pay
tribute to those young people who have inspired and brought pride to our
majestic Empire State by achieving outstanding success in educational
competition; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Lee Bush upon the occasion of winning first place in the New York
Association for Pupil Transportation Bus Safety Poster Contest for Divi-
sion III for the third consecutive year; and
WHEREAS, A naturally gifted artist, Lee Bush entered the contest,
whose theme was "Cross in view, it's the right thing to do!," while an
eighth grade student at the C.J. Hooker Middle School; he is currently a
freshman at Goshen High School; and
WHEREAS, Lee Bush enjoys drawing farms and barns and one of his
original farm drawings was featured in the Wallkill River School's
Orange County Bounty Cookbook; he also makes model farms in his spare
time; and
WHEREAS, In addition to his artwork, Lee Bush enjoys bike riding and
recently participated in the Tour de Goshen and Bike New York's Five
Boro Bike Tour in New York City; and
WHEREAS, Poised eagerly with enthusiasm and determined purpose, Lee
Bush now stands honorably, with just pride in his accomplishments and in
eager anticipation of future challenges, understanding and appreciating
the caring counsel and support provided by his teachers, family and
friends; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when young
people of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Lee Bush upon the occasion of winning first place in the
New York Association for Pupil Transportation Bus Safety Poster Contest
for Division III for the third consecutive year, and offer him its best
wishes for a future of purposeful success and well-being; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Lee Bush.
