LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring the North Bellmore-North Merrick Rebels
upon the occasion of capturing the 2009 New York State Little League
Juniors Championship

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those young people within the State of New York who have
inspired and brought pride to their school and community by achieving
outstanding success in athletic competition; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor the
North Bellmore-North Merrick Rebels upon the occasion of capturing the
2009 New York State Little League Juniors Championship; and
WHEREAS, A team without a home field, the North Bellmore-North Merrick
Rebels beat a previously undefeated Harrison team, 6-4, to win the
title, after victories against teams from Elmira, Buffalo and the Bronx;
and
WHEREAS, The athletic talent displayed by this team is due in great
part to the efforts of Coaches Bob Lindgren and John Frisolone, skilled
and inspirational tutors who have done a superb job in guiding, molding
and inspiring the team members toward their goals; and
WHEREAS, Loyally and enthusiastically supported by family, fans, and
friends, the North Bellmore-North Merrick Rebels have proven themselves
to be an unbeatable combination of talents, reflecting favorably on
their community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor the North Bellmore-North Merrick Rebels; its members: Chris Bian-
chi, Tom Brodsky, Gene Bunnenberg, Chris Durkin, John Frisolone, Nick
Fronte, Reed Gonsowski, Connor Gordon, Andrew Kanarek, Grant Keifer,
Jake Klerer, John Lindgren, Anthony Messina and Adam Pedersen; and
Coaches Bob Lindgren and John Frisolone; upon the occasion of capturing
the 2009 New York State Little League Juniors Championship; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the North Bellmore-North Merrick Rebels and Coaches Bob Lind-
gren and John Frisolone.
