LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Susan C. Roberts upon the occasion of
her retirement as Perinton Town Clerk

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and honor
those distinguished citizens of this great Empire State who have devoted
themselves to faithfully serving the best interests of their community
and the needs of its residents; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Susan C. Roberts upon the occasion of her retirement as Perinton Town
Clerk; and
WHEREAS, Susan C. Roberts has served the residents of the Town of
Perinton since 1984, as town historian, records management officer,
community services coordinator and town clerk; and
WHEREAS, Over the years, Susan C. Roberts has worked closely with all
segments of the community, from the school children she met as town
historian to the senior citizens who were helped by the establishment of
Senior Options for Independence, an agency that helps seniors remain
independent as long as possible; and
WHEREAS, A true citizen of the Town of Perinton, Susan C. Roberts
believes in giving back to the community she loves so much; she has
served as president of the Fairport Business and Professional Women;
secretary of the Monroe County Association of Officially Appointed
Historians; secretary of the Friends of the Fairport Public Library; and
a member of the Monroe County and New York State Town Clerks' Associ-
ation, the Perinton Historical Society and the Fairport Rotary Anns; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Susan C. Roberts served on the Steering Commit-
tee for the Perinton 175th Anniversary, Fairport 125th Anniversary,
Fairport Bicentennial Committee, Perinton Republican Committee and the
Crescent Trail Association; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Susan C. Roberts served the Town of
Perinton with intelligence and caring dedication, continuously striving
to effectively fulfill the duties of her position; and
WHEREAS, Sincerely loved and greatly respected by all those with whom
she worked, Susan C. Roberts will be remembered for her honesty, integ-
rity, keen sense of duty and ability to show a unique grasp of human
problems in her official acts; and
WHEREAS, With Susan C. Roberts throughout have been her husband, Ron,
and their three children, Jennifer, Laura and Matthew, all of whom feel
privileged to be a part of her life and rejoice in her many achieve-
ments; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Susan C. Roberts upon the occasion of her retirement as Perinton
Town Clerk, and to wish her continued success in all of her future
endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Susan C. Roberts.
