LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Frank Guido upon the occasion of
receiving the Heart of Ulster County Award from the Ulster County Devel-
opment Corporation and Ulster County Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those individuals and businesses which substantially
contribute to the economic health and vitality of their communities and
the entire Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Frank Guido upon the occasion of receiving the Heart of Ulster County
Award from the Ulster County Development Corporation and Ulster County
Chamber of Commerce; and
WHEREAS, Frank Guido will be honored at the Ulster County Development
Corporation and Ulster County Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Dinner
to be held at the Wiltwyck Golf Club on Thursday, October 22, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Frank Guido, owner of the Mariner's Harbor and Little Italy
restaurants in Kingston, New York, has been extremely generous to local
not-for-profits, donating gift certificates and more for 40 plus years;
and
WHEREAS, A cancer survivor, Frank Guido single-handedly raised signif-
icant funds during a recent event to fight prostate cancer; and
WHEREAS, Frank Guido has earned a reputation as an outstanding local
business owner, who has operated successful restaurants throughout the
county and beyond, at a level of continuous success unmatched in the
area since the 1960s; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Frank Guido upon the occasion of receiving the Heart of Ulster
County Award from the Ulster County Development Corporation and Ulster
County Chamber of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Frank Guido.
