LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Frank Cassanite upon the occasion
of his designation as Warwick's 2009-2010 Citizen of the Year

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Frank Cassanite upon the occasion of his designation as Warwick's
2009-2010 Citizen of the Year on Sunday, October 25, 2009, at the
Warwick Country Club; and
WHEREAS, This annual event honors a person whose work and volunteer
service have made the community a better place; and
WHEREAS, A Warwick, New York native who has been closely linked with
the community his whole life, Frank Cassanite is the son of Theresa
Folino Cassanite and the late Frank Sr.; in 1970, he joined Warwick
Valley Telephone Company, now known as WVT Communications, as an
installer/repairman, and was recently named manager of facilities and
motor vehicles; he also serves as the company's safety director; and
WHEREAS, Frank Cassanite is a volunteer whose services are many,
including being a 40-year veteran of the Warwick Fire Department who was
honored in 2006 as grand marshal of the Warwick Fire Parade; he is also
a member of the Warwick Ambulance Corps, where he has been the captain
for the past 20 years; and
WHEREAS, A true asset to society, Frank Cassanite is the husband of
the former Donna Williamsen, and the father of three daughters, Stacey,
Lindsey, and Melissa; and
WHEREAS, Frank Cassanite's distinguished record merits the recognition
and respectful tribute of this Legislative Body; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Frank Cassanite upon the occasion of his designation as
Warwick's 2009-2010 Citizen of the Year; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Frank Cassanite.
