LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring the Port Authority of New York & New
Jersey upon the occasion of its designation as recipient of the 2009
Large Business of the Year Award by the Orange County Chamber of
Commerce

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor those illus-
trious businesses of the State of New York whose purposeful endeavors
serve to enhance the quality of life in their communities; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor the
Port Authority of New York & New Jersey upon the occasion of its desig-
nation as recipient of the 2009 Large Business of the Year Award by the
Orange County Chamber of Commerce to be celebrated at its Annual Meeting
and Awards Reception on Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at Kuhl's Highland
House, Middletown, New York; and
WHEREAS, Each year, the Orange County Chamber of Commerce recognizes
outstanding individuals and businesses that have made extraordinary
contributions to both the Chamber and the community over the past year;
the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey is one such business; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey and its many contrib-
utions to the local and State economies, fully confident that it will
continue to enjoy the sparkling successes it has experienced thus far;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey upon the occasion of
its designation as recipient of the 2009 Large Business of the Year
Award by the Orange County Chamber of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey.
