LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Kathleen Holleran upon the occasion of
her designation as recipient of the Health and Safety Services Award by
the American Red Cross in New York State

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to call attention to
the dedicated efforts of those individuals from across the State of New
York who volunteer their time and energies in service to the community;
and
WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Kathleen Holleran upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the Health and Safety Services Award by the American Red Cross in New
York State, to be celebrated on Friday, December 11, 2009; and
WHEREAS, This prestigious award honors an exceptional volunteer,
employee or team of volunteers/employees who have served in the area of
Health and Safety Services; and
WHEREAS, Kathleen Holleran is being recognized for her exceptional
work within Health and Safety Services at the American Red Cross in
Nassau County; she is a true asset to society; and
WHEREAS, In the faithful performance of her duties and volunteer
efforts, Kathleen Holleran's ongoing endeavors and notable achievements
have significantly contributed to bettering the quality of life in her
community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Kathleen Holleran upon the occasion of her designation as recipi-
ent of the Health and Safety Services Award by the American Red Cross in
New York State; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Kathleen Holleran.
