LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending the Chinese American Real Estate Asso-
ciation upon the occasion of its 16th Anniversary on Friday, March 27,
2009

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend those
illustrious organizations within the State of New York whose focus and
intent have made a substantial impact on the quality of life in their
communities; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
the Chinese American Real Estate Association upon the occasion of its
16th Anniversary of service to the industry in a professional way, to be
presented at a celebration to be held on Friday, March 27, 2009; and
WHEREAS, The Chinese American Real Estate Association (CAREA) is a
non-profit grassroots organization founded in the New York Chinese
community in 1993; it consists of real estate professionals as well as
other professionals within New York and the tri-state area real estate
industry; and
WHEREAS, CAREA has worked to promote the professional advancement of
real estate brokers and also provides for a unified platform for its
real estate professionals; and
WHEREAS, The mission of CAREA includes creating opportunities for the
exchange of information, skills and experiences; establishing a communi-
cation channel between different governmental agencies and communities;
and most importantly, encouraging cooperation, good will and fair compe-
tition amongst their members; and
WHEREAS, The success of CAREA is in direct correlation to the efforts
of its members, whose involvement is, and always has been, characterized
by an impressive commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompro-
mising standard of excellence in all endeavors on behalf of the Associ-
ation and the population it serves; and
WHEREAS, In light of its commitment, dedication, and successful
efforts, it is the sense of this Legislative Body to extend its highest
commendation to CAREA; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Chinese American Real Estate Association upon the occasion
of its 16th Anniversary; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the President of the Chinese American Real Estate Associ-
ation.
