LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Shannon McNamara upon the occasion
of capturing the 2009 Section IX Diving Championship

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge
outstanding young athletes within the State of New York who distinguish
themselves through their exceptional performance, attaining
unprecedented success and the highest level of personal achievement; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Shannon McNamara upon the occasion of capturing the 2009 Section IX
Diving Championship; and
WHEREAS, A freshman at Warwick Valley High School, Shannon McNamara
scored 405.85 points to win the first Section IX Diving title in the
history of the school; and
WHEREAS, Poised eagerly with enthusiasm and determined purpose, Shan-
non McNamara now stands honorably, with just pride in her accomplish-
ments and in eager anticipation of future challenges, understanding and
appreciating the caring counsel and support provided by her teachers,
coaches and parents; and
WHEREAS, Loyally and enthusiastically supported by family, fans,
friends and the community at large, Shannon McNamara has clearly made a
contribution to the spirit of excellence which is a tradition at Warwick
Valley High School; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Shannon McNamara upon the occasion of capturing the 2009
Section IX Diving Championship and offer its best wishes for a future of
purposeful success and well-being; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Shannon McNamara.
