LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating West Seneca Masonic Lodge 1111
upon the occasion of its designation for special recognition as recipi-
ent of the 2010 Community Service Organization of the Year Award by the
West Seneca Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are enhanced by the concerned and dedicated efforts of community service
organizations and individuals that generously contribute to the welfare
of the community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late West Seneca Masonic Lodge 1111 upon the occasion of its designation
for special recognition as recipient of the 2010 Community Service
Organization of the Year Award by the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce;
this auspicious occasion will be celebrated on Saturday, February 27,
2010; and
WHEREAS, Organized in 1931, the mission of West Seneca Masonic Lodge
1111 is to serve and help the underprivileged and to improve the West
Seneca, New York, community through charitable works; and
WHEREAS, Each year West Seneca Masonic Lodge 1111 provides college
scholarships to East and West Seneca graduating seniors; and
WHEREAS, On a yearly basis, working through the Erie County Adopt-A-
Highway program, West Seneca Masonic Lodge 1111 is engaged in cleaning
up portions of East and West Road in West Seneca, New York; and
WHEREAS, West Seneca Masonic Lodge 1111 began "Craig's Cupboard" as a
food drive; donations to the Cupboard support a family in West Seneca
through Baker Victory Services; and
WHEREAS, In addition, West Seneca Masonic Lodge 1111 supports various
food pantries in West Seneca, New York; and
WHEREAS, Under the outstanding leadership of its Master, Craig Schwab,
West Seneca Masonic Lodge 1111 hosts breakfast buffets to support
Renaissance House and the Kid's Escaping Drugs telethon; it has been
active in this worthy endeavor for 14 years; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when community
service organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought
to our attention, they should be recognized by all the citizens of this
great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate West Seneca Masonic Lodge 1111 upon the occasion of its
designation for special recognition as recipient of the 2010 Community
Service Organization of the Year Award by the West Seneca Chamber of
Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to West Seneca Masonic Lodge 1111, West Seneca, New York 14224.
