LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Cindy Lanzetta upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition for her dedicated service to the
Town of Marlborough

WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to take note of and
publicly acknowledge individuals of remarkable integrity and character
who have inspired and brought pride to our majestic Empire State with
their strong contributions to the community and model citizenship; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Cindy Lanzetta upon the occasion of her designation for special recogni-
tion for her dedicated service to the Town of Marlborough to be acknowl-
edged at a celebration "Toast and Jam" on Sunday, January 31, 2010, at
The Falcon, Marlboro, New York; and
WHEREAS, Cindy Lanzetta has given not only of her time and energies
but also of her competence, intelligence and leadership; and
WHEREAS, Cindy Lanzetta was appointed to the position of Deputy Super-
visor for the Town of Marlborough, serving from January 1, 2006 through
December 31, 2009; and
WHEREAS, During her years in office, Cindy Lanzetta represented the
Supervisor and the townspeople of Marlborough at numerous meetings
involving State, County, and regional agencies winning their collab-
oration and cooperation; and
WHEREAS, As Deputy Supervisor, Cindy Lanzetta researched and authored
several grants and member item requests, and acted as liaison to the
Supervisor in dealings with State and County representatives, resulting
in millions of dollars being delivered or promised to the Town of Marl-
borough for improvement of infrastructure, rehabilitation efforts, and
recreational facilities including the Milton-on-Hudson Railroad Station
rehabilitation project and the Milton Riverfront Park; and
WHEREAS, Cindy Lanzetta accepted her assigned salary at the insistence
of the Town Board, but annually donated her net income to the Senior
Citizens of Marlborough; and
WHEREAS, Cindy Lanzetta has been called upon to contribute her time
and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always
given of herself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Cindy Lanzetta upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition for her dedicated service to the Town of Marlborough; and be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Cindy Lanzetta.
