LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating the Webster Schroeder High School
Cheerleading Team upon the occasion of being crowned Grand Champions at
the Greater Rochester Cheerleading and Dance Competition

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those young people within the State of New York who have
inspired and brought pride to their school and community by achieving
outstanding success in athletic competition; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late the Webster Schroeder High School Cheerleading Team upon the occa-
sion of being crowned Grand Champions at the Greater Rochester
Cheerleading and Dance Competition; and
WHEREAS, After amassing 409 points in capturing the Varsity Advanced I
Division, the Webster Schroeder High School Cheerleading Team edged out
East Rochester High School and Webster Thomas High School for the Grand
Champion honor; and
WHEREAS, The athletic talent displayed by this team is due in great
part to the efforts of Coaches Donna Bour and Joy Scheible, skilled and
inspirational tutors, respected for their ability to develop potential
into excellence; and
WHEREAS, The Webster Schroeder High School Cheerleading Team was
comprised of: Jen Costanza, who placed first in the Senior Individual
Finals, received the Marlene McQueeney scholarship and was named second
team all-county; Marissa Forward, who was a senior finalist in the indi-
vidual competition and was named first team all-county; Heather Hoder-
lein, who was named first team all-county; Brittany Salvato, who was
named first team all-county and the Ronald McDonald winner at the County
Cheer Competition; Olivia Valenti, who was a senior finalist in the
individual competition and was named second team all-county; and Cassie
Abraham, Alissa Arena, Alexis Arnold, Chelsey Bauer, Melissa Bour, Shai-
na Callarama, Nicole Capadano, Nicolette Christopher, Allison Dimino,
Alyssa Dunham, Alyssa Falvo, Sarah Farciglia, Arielle Julian, Jayna
Jurgensen, Stacy Kosel, Alexis Lodico, Courtney Lubin, Lauren Luft,
Katie Madlen, Nicole Madlen, Alexa Martucci, Katie Papas, Alissa Piccar-
reto, Sarabeth Spitali, Nicole Stirpe, Nicole Whittum, Kaleigh Witzel
and Lauren Young; and
WHEREAS, Excellence and success in competitive sports can be achieved
only through strenuous practice and team spirit, nurtured by dedicated
coaching; and
WHEREAS, Athletic competition enhances the moral and physical develop-
ment of the young people of this State, preparing them for the future by
instilling in them the value of teamwork, encouraging a standard of
healthy living, imparting a desire for success and developing a sense of
fair play and competition; and
WHEREAS, Athletically and academically, the members of the Webster
Schroeder High School Cheerleading Team have proven themselves to be an
unbeatable combination of talents, reflecting favorably on their school;
and
WHEREAS, Coaches Donna Bour and Joy Scheible have done a superb job in
guiding, molding and inspiring the team members toward their goals; and
WHEREAS, Poised eagerly with enthusiasm and determined purpose, the
members of the Webster Schroeder High School Cheerleading Team now stand
honorably, with just pride in their accomplishments and in eager antic-
ipation of future challenges, understanding and appreciating the caring
counsel and support provided by their coaches, family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Sports competition instills the values of teamwork, pride and
accomplishment, and Coaches Donna Bour and Joy Scheible and the
outstanding athletes on the Webster Schroeder High School Cheerleading
Team have clearly made a contribution to the spirit of excellence which
is a tradition of their school; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the Webster Schroeder High School Cheerleading Team upon
the occasion of being crowned Grand Champions at the Greater Rochester
Cheerleading and Dance Competition and to wish them continued success
throughout their school years and beyond; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Webster Schroeder High School Cheerleading Team.
