LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Kevin M. O'Connor upon the occasion of
receiving the Outstanding Alumni Award from Suffolk County Community
College

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Kevin M. O'Connor upon the occasion of receiving the Outstanding Alumni
Award from Suffolk County Community College on Saturday, March 6, 2010;
and
WHEREAS, Kevin M. O'Connor is President and Chief Executive Officer of
Bridge Bancorp and its wholly-owned subsidiary, The Bridgehampton
National Bank; and
WHEREAS, Kevin O'Connor has more than 20 years of experience in the
financial services industry and he previously served as executive vice
president and treasurer at North Fork Bancorporation; in that role, he
actively participated in key decisions regarding the strategic direction
of the company and helped to grow the institution through successful
acquisitions and de novo branching; and
WHEREAS, Kevin O'Connor was also senior vice president and chief
financial officer at Southold Savings Bank, a wholly-owned subsidiary of
North Fork Bancorporation; he earned his Associate's degree in Account-
ing from Suffolk County Community College in 1982 and then went on to
earn a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Adelphi University; and
WHEREAS, Kevin O'Connor is a member of the American Institute of
Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified
Public Accountants and is a current board member of Suffolk County Coun-
cil of the Boy Scouts of America; he is also a member of the development
committee for McGann-Mercy High School in Riverhead; and
WHEREAS, A true asset to society, Kevin O'Connor's distinguished
record merits the recognition and respectful tribute of this Legislative
Body; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Kevin M. O'Connor upon the occasion of receiving the Outstanding
Alumni Award from Suffolk County Community College; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Kevin M. O'Connor.
