LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Nicoletta Pallotta, MD, LCSW, upon the
occasion of her designation for special recognition by the Bay Ridge
Brooklyn Chapter of New York State Women, Inc.

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, Nicoletta Pallotta, MD, LCSW, has given not only of her time
and energies but also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and
consequently has been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Nicoletta
Pallotta, MD, LCSW, upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by the Bay Ridge Brooklyn Chapter of New York State Women,
Inc. on Saturday, March 20, 2010, in Brooklyn, New York; and
WHEREAS, A native of Italy, Dr. Nicoletta Pallotta has been dedicated
to helping women and their families achieve physical and mental health
and improve their quality of life for over 20 years; and
WHEREAS, A true visionary at the forefront of women's health care, Dr.
Nicoletta Pallotta has successfully created women and family health
centers, intervention programs for abused women, counseling centers and
has a strong record of community outreach programs designed to educate
and empower women on their own health and well-being; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Nicoletta Pallotta attended New York City Public Schools
in Brooklyn, and later attended Kingsborough College and the City
University of New York for her undergraduate work; she also earned her
Master's degree in Social Work from Hunter College and later went on to
Medical School and received her Medical degree from Chieti University in
Italy; and
WHEREAS, A true asset to society, Dr. Nicoletta Pallotta has been
recognized by numerous prestigious organizations and individuals for her
vision, knowledge, courage and ability; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Dr. Nicoletta Pallotta has displayed
throughout her life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Nicoletta Pallotta, MD, LCSW, upon the occasion of her designation
for special recognition by the Bay Ridge Brooklyn Chapter of New York
State Women, Inc.; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Nicoletta Pallotta, MD, LCSW.
