LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Peggy Brennan upon the occasion of
her designation for special recognition by Sacred Heart of Jesus School
at its annual Irish Night reception on March 12, 2010

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Peggy Brennan has given not only of her time and energies but
also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special recognition; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to congratulate Peggy
Brennan upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by
Sacred Heart of Jesus School, Highland Falls, New York; and
WHEREAS, Peggy Brennan will be honored at Sacred Heart of Jesus
School's annual Irish Night reception, to be held at Nicole's in High-
land Falls on Friday, March 12, 2010; and
WHEREAS, An esteemed member of her community and proud citizen of the
Town of Highlands, Peggy Brennan volunteers countless hours in support
of the many worthy endeavors of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, school
and community; and
WHEREAS, Peggy Brennan has been called upon to contribute her time and
talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always given
of herself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her service to her faith,
heritage and community, a period of constructive involvement, Peggy
Brennan has stood constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Peggy Brennan has displayed through-
out her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, it is appropriate to publicly proclaim and commend them for the
edification and emulation of others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Peggy Brennan upon the occasion of her designation for
special recognition by Sacred Heart of Jesus School at its annual Irish
Night reception on March 12, 2010; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Peggy Brennan.
