LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Terry Nicoletti upon the occasion of
her designation for special recognition after many years of dedicated
service to the community of Marlborough, New York

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those individ-
uals who devote themselves to the welfare of the community and its citi-
zenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Terry Nicoletti upon the occasion of her designation for special recog-
nition after many years of dedicated service to the community of Marl-
borough, New York; and
WHEREAS, A woman of singular distinction, Terry Nicoletti has contin-
ually demonstrated extreme competence, extraordinary intelligence, and
diligent leadership in her unwavering service to her community; and
WHEREAS, In recognition of her efforts, Terry Nicoletti will be
honored at the 5th Annual Community Services Salute Dinner to be held on
Sunday, April 11, 2010, at the Rocking Horse Ranch in Highland, New
York; and
WHEREAS, Terry Nicoletti has worked tirelessly to promote Marlborough
as well as to support the farm community; she has co-chaired the Heart
of the Hudson Valley Bounty Festival for the past three years and is a
co-founder of the Farmers' Market; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Terry Nicoletti is the past president of the
Friends of the Sarah Hull Hallock Free Library in Milton, New York,
where she was responsible for organizing many successful fundraising
activities which resulted in numerous summer programs and equipment for
the library; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Terry Nicoletti has stood constant
in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Terry Nicoletti has displayed
throughout her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Terry Nicoletti upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition after many years of dedicated service to the community of
Marlborough, New York; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Terry Nicoletti.
