LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Mr. William R. Kearsing upon the occa-
sion of his designation for special recognition

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Mr.
William R. Kearsing upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition; and
WHEREAS, William Kearsing is the Department Commander for the American
Legion, Department of New York, Zaloga Post 1520 in Albany, New York; he
has selected the American Legion National Emergency Fund as his project
for the year; and
WHEREAS, A resident of Albany, William Kearsing served on active duty
with the United States Air Force from 1974-1977 at Eglin Air Force Base
in Florida; he worked at base operations as an air operations special-
ist; and
WHEREAS, A Political Science major, William Kearsing attended Potsdam
and Albany State Universities; he has been employed by CSX Transporta-
tion since 1993 and is currently a locomotive engineer; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife, Lori, and their chil-
dren, Sarah, Mark, Katherine and Matthew, all of whom feel privileged to
be a part of his life and rejoice in his achievements; and
WHEREAS. A true asset to society, William Kearsing's distinguished
record merits the recognition and respectful tribute of this Legislative
Body; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Mr. William R. Kearsing upon the occasion of his designation for
special recognition; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Mr. William R. Kearsing, Department Commander, American
Legion, Department of New York.
