LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating the New York State Society of
Medical Assistants upon the occasion of celebrating its 51st Anniversary

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those illustrious organizations of distinguished purpose that
have been committed to the pursuit of excellence and that bring pride to
the citizens of this great Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, it is the intent of this Legislative Body to
congratulate the New York State Society of Medical Assistants upon the
occasion of celebrating its 51st Anniversary; and
WHEREAS, The New York State Society of Medical Assistants (NYSSMA) was
founded in 1959 with the purpose to enhance medical assistants' know-
ledge, skills, professionalism, and efficiency of care; and
WHEREAS, Members of the NYSSMA are Certified Medical Assistants who
are dedicated to maintaining their level of skill and expertise through
education, training, networking, and mentoring; and
WHEREAS, Medical assistants are skilled health professionals who excel
at performing a vast array of tasks within the healthcare field, and are
central in maintaining and enhancing the relationship between patients
and healthcare professionals; and
WHEREAS, Every year, medical assistants make valuable contributions to
the medical society and positively impact the quality and efficiency of
health care, not only in New York State, but across the United States as
well; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the New York State Society of Medical Assistants upon the
occasion of celebrating its 51st Anniversary, and to thank its members
for their continued care and service; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the New York State Society of Medical Assistants.
