LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Talty Construction upon the occasion
of its designation as recipient of the Business of the Year Award by the
Freeport Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor those illus-
trious individuals and businesses of the State of New York whose
purposeful endeavors serve to enhance the quality of life in their
communities; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, it is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend
Talty Construction upon the occasion of its designation as the recipient
of the Business of the Year Award by the Freeport Chamber of Commerce;
and
WHEREAS, John Talty, the highly respected proprietor of Talty
Construction, will be honored at the Freeport Chamber of Commerce's
Annual Installation Dinner Dance to be held on Friday, April 3, 2009, at
The Coral House in Baldwin, New York; and
WHEREAS, John Talty has been called upon to contribute his time and
talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always given
of himself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, John Talty has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which John Talty has displayed throughout
his life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals and companies of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to
our attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citi-
zens of the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Talty Construction upon the occasion of its designation as the
recipient of the Business of the Year Award by the Freeport Chamber of
Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to John Talty, Talty Construction.
