LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Victoria Paul upon the occasion of
receiving the Personal Achievement Award from Ulster-Greene ARC on May
7, 2010

WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
those exemplary individuals within the State of New York whose extraor-
dinary spirit and determination serve as an inspiration to all citizens;
and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Victoria Paul upon the occasion of receiving the Personal Achievement
Award from Ulster-Greene ARC at its 29th Annual Humanitarian of the Year
dinner to be held on Friday, May 7, 2010, at the Wiltwyck Golf Club,
Kingston, New York; and
WHEREAS, Known for her fierce determination, Victoria Paul is a
respected advocate for both herself and others; she recently became an
agency Board Advisor who solicits the ideas and desires of her peers and
presents her findings to the Board; and
WHEREAS, Today, Victoria Paul lives independently with little support
from Ulster-Greene ARC, making her dream of independence a reality; and
WHEREAS, Victoria Paul has faced and triumphed over numerous obstacles
throughout her lifetime; her fortitude and work ethic shine like beacons
making her a superb role model for others who have faced similar obsta-
cles; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such enduring courage and accomplishment are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Victoria Paul upon the occasion of receiving the Personal
Achievement Award from Ulster-Greene ARC on May 7, 2010; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Victoria Paul.
