LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Rosalind Lee upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition by Peninsula Preparatory Academy at
its 2010 Unsung Heroes Awards Banquet

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge
outstanding individuals whose professional lives, personal endeavors and
community service are an example and inspiration to their colleagues,
friends, and family; and
WHEREAS, It is also the practice of this Legislative Body to take note
of and publicly acknowledge individuals of remarkable integrity and
character whose endeavors have enhanced the quality of education in this
great State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Rosalind Lee upon the occasion of her designation for special recogni-
tion by Peninsula Preparatory Academy; this auspicious occasion will be
celebrated on Saturday, June 12, 2010, at the Academy's Unsung Heroes
Awards Banquet; and
WHEREAS, A veteran staff member at Peninsula Preparatory Academy,
Rosalind Lee changed positions from teacher assistant to long term
substitute in order to assure stability and consistency in the classroom
for the Academy's scholars; and
WHEREAS, Always pleasant and willing to lend a helping hand to benefit
the Academy's scholars, Rosalind Lee's classroom assignment has inspired
her to continue her educational pursuits; she is seeking to become
teacher certified; and
WHEREAS, Rosalind Lee has truly been an instrumental component of the
success of Peninsula Preparatory Academy and embodies the spirit of
caring for the Academy's scholars; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her professional and communi-
ty service, a period of constructive involvement, Rosalind Lee has stood
constant in dignity, good grace and humor, and has earned the respect
and admiration of her colleagues, family and friends; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Rosalind Lee upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by Peninsula Preparatory Academy at its 2010 Unsung Heroes
Awards Banquet, and for her significant contributions to education in
New York State; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Rosalind Lee.
